A typical example of what we are all about!

Viking is located in Hull, a popular and busy radio station. Comprising of 2 On air studios, a Standby studio and Production studio/ Live area.

Each studio area was completely stripped, new studio upholstery was installed along with new ceilings, window reveals, architraves, skirting, floor coverings and new purpose built studio furniture.

A new digital broadcast system was installed with new desks and infrastructure. Tie cables were upgraded along with the installation of new structured cabling. A new Krone frame and suspended floor was installed before the process of moving from the old analogue transmission switching system, DA’s and OS to the new digital system was undertaken. The electrical distribution system was also upgraded to incorporate a large UPS and new mains distribution units. At all times disruption to the normal day to day running of the radio station was kept to a minimum.

City FM
We are fortunate to have done a lot of work here over the years. However the latest task was a little more unusual. City Fm is located at the top of a 450 ft tower and they needed to upgrade the lighting system in their external signage! We were happy to help, replacing the old florescent fittings with high output LED arrays.

BRMB

This iconic radio station in Birmingham has recently had it’s broadcast studios and transmission systems upgraded. We were responsible for the new studio upholstery and the installation of the broadcast systems. A Lawo routing system was installed along with new Zirkon desks.
Optical fibre was used to network the Lawo components along with the installation of some additional structured cabling for the various PC based products.
